TillyTally™
Privacy Policy
Effective 22 October 2026
TillyTally keeps score on your device and works without a connection. Your scorecards, players, teams, settings, and games can sync through your own iCloud account. The app has no ads, analytics, or separate app account, and sends nothing to us.
What the app collects
Nothing is sent to us. There are no analytics, advertising, third-party SDKs, or custom crash-reporting services in the app, and we operate no server for it.
What the app stores, and where
The app saves, on your device: the names of the people and teams you add, with the color or picture you give each; the scorecards you make and which ones are on the Play screen; your games, both in progress and finished, with every round’s numbers and when they were entered; and your appearance settings. If you choose one of your own pictures as a background, a copy of it is saved on the device.
If you are signed in to iCloud, everything above except the background picture is also kept in your own iCloud account, so it is the same on your other devices. Games are stored in your private iCloud database, encrypted. We have no access to any of it; Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy apply. Deleting a game or a person does the same on your other devices. This data may also be included in device backups, depending on your backup settings.
Connections and permissions
The app’s only connection is to Apple’s iCloud, and only when you are signed in to iCloud. Choosing a background picture uses the system’s photo picker, which gives the app only the picture you pick; the app does not ask for access to your photo library, contacts, location, camera, microphone, or notifications.
Sharing
If you send a game as a picture, a PDF, or a TillyTally file, it contains that game’s name, the names at the table, and their scores. Sharing scorecards sends only the ways of scoring you tick, with no people or numbers. Files go only where you send them, and anyone who receives one can read it. The service you send it through has its own privacy practices. Opening a file someone sent you adds only what you choose.
What we can see
The App Store provides aggregate download and sales information. Crash diagnostics may be available if you opt into sharing them through your device settings. If you email us, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send.
Children
The app has no chat, advertising, or way to contact other people. Names typed into it are never sent to us; apart from your own iCloud account, they leave the device only in a file you choose to share.
Limits of these protections
No app, device, or online service can guarantee complete privacy, security, or protection against data loss. Device access, account security, backups, and the services you choose to use can affect what happens to your information. This policy describes the app’s practices; it is not a promise that unauthorized access or data loss is impossible. It does not limit any privacy or consumer rights you have under applicable law.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will appear on this page with a new effective date.
